RSS Feeds

RSS feeds, I haven't had a lot of time to explore them but i can see that they could be useful for skimming article titles for potentially useful information.  Setting them up wasn't to bad but it did take me some time to figure out what i was doing and i had a lot of trouble setting up the librarybiz feed.  I used google reader and i find that it is quite user friendly and except for 1 newspaper i chose sites like New Scientist and this week in science as feeds because that is a area of interest for me.  In my current job there is very little need for me to use this as a option but i can see the potential particularly when researching or studying.

  1. Great that you have had a go.
I have to admit that when I first learnt about RSS I subscribed to so much I became overwhelmed with my feeds!
Don't let them control you- go back every so often, see what you have subscribed to- and prune, change depending on what you have read in the time.
I find I often unsubscribe or subscribe- depending on my current interests!
Pick what you are interested in having sent to you.....
